Soda Rossa

A Ferrari-inspired soda maker translating speed, prestige and sculptural tension into a premium home product.

Soda Rossa is a conceptual brand-extension project exploring how Ferrari's identity could be translated into a carbonated-water device. The project started with a deep analysis of Ferrari's explicit design language and implicit brand values, then moved through sketching, digital form exploration, 3D modelling and final visualisation. The result is not a literal car-inspired object, but a product that carries Ferrari's atmosphere through proportion, tension, material expression and detail.

Process

From brand DNA to product language

The process began by analysing Ferrari on two levels. The explicit layer focused on tangible design characteristics such as organic flowing volumes, sharp functional lines, muscular stance, repeating vents, glossy paint, carbon fibre and premium detailing. The implicit layer focused on emotional qualities: passion, performance and prestige.

These insights were translated into a new product typology through biomorphic inspiration, form sketches, digital exploration and 3D iterations. The goal was not to copy Ferrari, but to design a soda maker that feels like a natural extension of the brand: elegant, powerful and iconic without becoming forced.

Decode — Brand analysis

The project started by decoding Ferrari's visual and emotional identity. Shapes, materials, details and brand values were translated into design principles that could guide a new product.

Draw — Digital form exploration

Draw — Digital form exploration

Sketching and digital drawing were used to search for a silhouette with speed, tension and elegance. The form language evolved from animal-inspired references into a more product-focused direction.

Model — 3D development

The concept was developed through 3D modelling, allowing proportions, surfaces and details to be tested more precisely. Iterations helped balance expressive form with product logic.

The final direction combines Ferrari-like emotion with a functional soda-maker architecture. Repeating vents, glossy red surfaces and a proud vertical stance give the product its identity.

Product

A carbonator with Ferrari character

The final product combines a proud, vertical stance with flowing surfaces, sharp openings and repeated vent details. The glossy red shell and dark inner structure create a contrast between luxury and performance, while the transparent bottle keeps the function clear.

Soda Rossa is designed as a premium brand-extension concept. It translates Ferrari's atmosphere into a domestic object through proportion, material expression and visual tension, while still remaining understandable as a soda maker.
